With extra time indoors and time off for the holidays, the winter months are generally a popular time for patients to undergo serious plastic surgery procedures, including breast augmentations. Knowing some basics about breast recovery should help when trying to decide when to schedule your surgery.
Most breast augmentations are administered on an outpatient basis, so you will likely need assistance driving to and from the surgery center. As expected with any procedure, there will be a healing period to consider. After your breast augmentation procedure, be ready to take up to a week off of your normal routine for breast recovery without stress or strain on the body.
You also could be given a surgical bra to wear at home. You should use this as directed by your surgeon. The specialized bra is designed to help position and set the breast after surgery.
