Madelyn's Fund
The 4th Annual Pink Bow Gala assisted in raising funds and awareness for Madelyn’s Fund. Madelyn’s Fund serves families with children in the NICU at Levine Children’s Hospital at Atrium Health Novant Health Presbyterian Hemby Children’s Hospital. By assisting with unexpected expenses, Madelyn’s Fund hopes to not only reduce the impact of the emotional and financial stressors of having a medically fragile baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, but also strive to support parents’ confidence in feeling that they know their child best.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man and Woman of the Year
Criswell & Criswell is supporting Kaye Cole as a candidate for Woman of the Year. Supporting research for Leukemia & Lymphoma is a cause close to Team Criswell’s heart as Victor Criswell, Business Manager for Criswell & Criswell for 10 years, passed away in 2017 after battling Leukemia.

Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) of Charlotte in Partnership with Carolina Breast Friends
In April 2016 Dr. Kara Criswell was featured as a Star in the Annual Dancing with the Stars hosted by Carolina Breast Friends Pink House. Dr. Criswell and professional dancer Paul Montagnese partnered to put on an outstanding show and raised funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer! This sold-out event showcased an encore dance performance by Clair Campbell and Pasha Antanovich, the 2016 Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte for the Pink House Judge Choice Award Winners.
Carolina Breast Friends Over the Edge
On June 1, 2019 Dr. Kara Criswell along with 45 other Fearless Heros participated in “Over the Edge” to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Dr. Criswell rappelled 17 stories down the face of the Hyatt House in Uptown Charlotte!
Carolina Breast Friends Pink Boots Ball
Our very own Dr. Kara Criswell was the keynote speaker for the 7th Annual Pink Boots Ball, in Charlotte, which featured dinner, auctions, live music, and dancing. The proceeds of this event were to benefit Carolina Breast Friends, a non-profit organization committed to helping women with breast cancer in all stages of survival.
Speedway Children's Charity Gala
Drs. Bryan & Kara Criswell attended the 2018 Speedway Children’s Charity Gala. SCC is a non-profit organization which works to provide funding to focused local organizations throughout the country that meet the needs of children in each individual community.
Susan G. Komen Charlotte Race for The Cure
Every year, to honor courageous breast cancer survivors, including some of our own patients, we gather a team of walkers for the Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure. Our team proudly wears t-shirts printed with the statement, “We Will Make You New Ones,” providing a bit of much-needed levity and comfort to the topic of breast cancer reconstructive surgery. Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation
Dr. Kara Criswell supported The Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation at A Night in Napa raising funds for Pediatric Cancer Research.
Second Harvest Food Bank
Criswell & Criswell partner with Second Harvest Food Bank for a canned food drive every November.
Fighting for Women with Fashion
Not only were we one of the sponsors of this 6th annual fashion show and silent auction in 2017, which benefits victims of domestic violence, Drs. Bryan and Kara Criswell walked in the fashion show in 2016 as well! Over the last five years, this event has raised more than $180,000 for the Safe Alliance Clyde and Ethel Dickson Domestic Violence Shelter.

Susan G. Komen
In the 1980’s, Susan G. Komen was founded, launching the breast cancer movement, along with the well-known “Race for the Cure” series. This group has the brave goal to reduce the current number of breast cancer death by 60% by 2026. We support Komen and invite you to participate!
Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. It provides a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year
LLS is at the forefront of the fight to cure cancer. Compared to other blood cancer nonprofits, LLS is the largest funder of cutting-edge research to advance cures. It is a leader in advancing breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine.
Faces of Diversity
Faces of Diversity helps promote cultural awareness and respect through the arts and by encouraging conversation to promote unity and understanding between cultures. The anti-bullying initiative in Charlotte can help to bring about better understanding and harmony between the many diverse cultures living and working in our area.
Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center
The Novant Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center provides support to cancer survivors, and holds various local charity events in Charlotte, NC, and is an organization worthy of your support.
The Bechtler
Charlotte’s Bechtler Museum of Art presents a range of events and highlights artist of many genres. As a cultural institution, the Bechtler brings inspiration and education to children, hosting many community outreach events, including services for those with low to no vision.
JDRF
JDRF funds Type 1 Diabetes research, and our local chapter, the Greater Western Carolinas Chapter, hosts important events such as “Fight Like a Girl: Charlotte Slumber Party,” and “Type Mom & Dad Dinner,” “Community Meet-Up: South Charlotte,” and others. Participate, donate, and become a part of the solution.
Carolina Breast Friends
The mission of Carolina Breast Friends is to embrace the breast cancer community in a positive environment. It provides resources and education through fellowship and mentoring during any stage of the journey.
Speedway Children's Charities
Speedway Children's Charities is a non-profit organization and provides funding for hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the nation that meet the direct needs of children. Its vision is that every child has the same opportunities no matter what obstacle they are facing.
Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation
Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation is a pediatric cancer foundation benefiting families and kids with cancer. It funds children’s cancer research to help find a cure and develop better treatments.
