About Head and Neck Reconstruction

Reconstruction surgery of the head or neck often involves removing cancer or a tumor from the head or neck and then reconstructing the area to look as aesthetically natural as possible. When this is the case, our surgeons regularly work with your dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon, or oncologic surgeon to assist in the reconstruction after tumor removal.

Surgical Approach and Collaboration

When necessary, our surgeons will also remove the tumor, followed by reconstruction. If your reconstructive needs are related to a trauma you have received, our surgeons will evaluate the injury during the consultation and recommend a treatment plan customized for your functional and aesthetic needs. Most health insurance policies cover reconstructive surgery, although coverage for specific procedures and levels of coverage vary greatly.
