People who are wary of sun exposure often ask about the option of spray tanning instead of sunbathing right after Botox treatments.
As a precaution, it’s a good idea to wait at least 48 hours if you plan on getting the tanning chemical near the injection site. The reasoning behind this is that if the injection marks from the Botox are fresh, the tanning solution may find its way into the skin, increasing the risk of irritation. However, if the Botox treatments and the tanning chemical do not come into contact with each other, it’s perfectly safe to combine the treatments at the same time.
For more information about combining spray tanning with Botox treatments, contact Drs. Bryan and Kara Criswell at their Charlotte office. They would be happy to set up a consultation and answer all of your questions.
