Neck Lift

As we age or undergo fluctuations in our body weight, a common change that occurs is in the laxity of our neck. We develop sagging of neck skin and often see exaggerated muscle lines (platysmal banding) extending from just below our chin to our lower neck. There may also be a collection of fat that adds to the unwanted appearance.

A neck lift can address all of these issues, helping provide an improved neck contour and a better defined jaw line and chin. The surgical procedure tightens the neck and removes excess skin and fat.

The surgery involves making incisions around the bottom of the ear, often into the hairline behind the ear. Because the incision is very similar to a facelift incision, many of our patients who are considering a neck lift will also undergo a mini or full face lift at the same time.
