Microdermabrasion

A fine diamond tipped wand with applied vacuum suction results in a very gentle resurfacing of the skin, removing dead surface cells and clearing the pores of debris. Over time and treatments, pigment fades away and surface irregularities, such as fine wrinkles and acne scars, begin to soften.

Treatment of the whole face takes about 30 minutes with very little discomfort. It feels like a light suction running over your face. You may be "in the pink" for a day or two afterwards, but there's no flaking—it's all vacuumed away. Newer forms of microdermabrasion use high pressure water and are very gentle, but not quite as effective. $80; for best results, series of six sessions $400
