Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion remains the gold standard treatment for acne scarring, deeper scars and lines, sun damage, and significant skin aging. During the procedure, a special instrument with a rapidly rotating sanding disk scrapes away the skin's outer surface.

Dermabrasion is a minor surgical performed under local, sedation, or general anesthesia. Afterwards, your face will be red and raw. Healing may take between one and four weeks and discoloration may persist for up to a month. It is also important for you to avoid sun exposure for several months after your treatment.
